GONZAGUE LURTON
A leading figure of biodynamics in Margaux.
Son of Lucien Lurton, Gonzague represents a new generation of visionary winemakers. Combining biodynamic boldness with a global outlook, he has transformed Château Durfort-Vivens and the G&C Lurton Estates through an approach that blends respect for the terroir, innovation, and international ambition.

Son of Lucien Lurton, Gonzague took over the management of Château Durfort-Vivens, a Second Grand Cru Classé of Margaux, in 1992. He modernized the estate by introducing large-scale organic and biodynamic practices. Passionate about the expression of terroirs, he also developed three parcel-based cuvées aged in amphorae, showcasing the unique character of each plot.
Alongside his wife Claire, he founded G&C Lurton Estates, a group that today brings together five properties, from Durfort-Vivens in Margaux to their Californian estate Acaibo, reflecting his commitment to combining Bordeaux tradition with an international outlook.
