A globetrotting oenologist who returned to his family roots.

Son of André Lurton, Jacques brings his international experience and strategic vision to support the family’s transition alongside Mathilde de Caix-Lurton. A trained oenologist, he continues the innovative spirit and legacy of Vignobles André Lurton, while guiding their evolution toward modern and sustainable viticulture.

The Islander Estate Vineyards

Sixth child of André Lurton, Jacques trained in oenology in Bordeaux before traveling through vineyards around the world. Drawing on this international experience, he co-founded with his brother François a wine trading and consulting company, introducing a modern, globally minded approach. Together, they later created their own estates in France and abroad, asserting their independent and innovative vision of wine.

In 2019, he succeeded his father as president of Vignobles Famille André Lurton, and from 2021 onward, he has supported his niece Mathilde de Caix-Lurton in taking over her role. Appointed CEO in 2022, she now oversees the group’s operations, while Jacques continues to provide technical and strategic insight to guide the family’s transition.
