DOMINIQUE LURTON FAMILY

PIERRE LURTON

PIERRE LURTON

At the summit of the great names.

Son of Dominique Lurton, Pierre leads with precision and passion two icons of the Bordeaux vineyard: Cheval Blanc and d’Yquem. At the head of these exceptional estates for over thirty years, he strives to preserve their prestige while bringing a modern and consistent vision. At the same time, he nurtures the family spirit at Château Marjosse, his personal estate, where he expresses a freer and more intimate approach to wine.

Pierre Lurton began his career as director of the legendary Château Cheval Blanc in 1990 and became its managing director in 1991. Under his leadership, the estate has maintained its prestigious rank as Premier Grand Cru Classé (A), and he also oversees Château d’Yquem for the LVMH group, ensuring consistency between these two legendary properties.

In addition to his responsibilities for these great estates, he oversees Château Marjosse, his family property in the Bordeaux AOC, and remains involved in the group’s new regional acquisitions. A true pillar of Bordeaux viticulture, Pierre embodies a demanding vision — deeply rooted in the terroir yet open to innovation.
