SOPHIE LURTON-COGOMBLES

A woman of terroir and commitment.

Continuing the legacy of her father, Lucien Lurton, Sophie embodies both continuity and renewal at Château Bouscaut, which she leads with a vision combining respect for tradition, openness, and excellence.

Daughter of Lucien Lurton, Sophie Lurton-Cogombles (born June 29, 1964) took over Château Bouscaut in Cadaujac in 1992, alongside her husband Laurent Cogombles, an agricultural engineer. Together, they have carried on a prestigious family legacy for over 30 years.

Under her leadership, the estate has moved toward environmentally friendly practices, earning a recent HVE certification. She has also developed wine tourism through the opening of tastings, tours, and accommodations, offering an immersive experience deeply rooted in the history of Pessac-Léognan.
